Connecting To The Connected: Creating a Vision of a Learner in the “Right Now” Generation
Keynote Description: It is no secret that today’s students are different: with nearly limitless access to information and a bombardment of instant digital stimulation, understanding the “Right Now” generation of students is one thing...and teaching them is quite another! The instructional challenges that face our teachers have never been greater considering the diversity of the students in our schools. But where do we start? 
While we might not know what our students need for an unpredictable future, what we do know is that statements like “We need to develop lifelong learners.” don’t really help us that much on a Wednesday in our fourth period math class. In this upbeat and fun keynote address, participants will take a trip outside of education to see what students are going to be facing and develop an understanding of how too develop an observable Vision of a Learner and the tools to turn that Vision into reality where it matters -- in the classroom with our students and educators.
